Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
